Working as a vet tech at the local humane society my then partner happened upon a team feverishly working on a cat that had been surrendered to the shelter. Angel the cat was in bad shape and seriously neglected.

Angel's owner was in ill health and her caretakers barely cared for the cat. In a crate all day, Angel had horribly matted fur & urine scalds halfway up her body. She ballooned to 17 pounds due to inactivity. A neighbor reported the neglect and a surrender to the shelter arranged.
