This is exactly how I feel. The "work" of a book is comprehending the material, not physically moving your eyeballs. If I read a book to you, we would say we read the book together.

Original storytelling was oral only. You know what I discovered that really helped? I often read a book after listening if the audiobook impressed me. The combo made my recall of text details so much better.
