An image of an observation from the ALMA telescope. It shows how the gas around the dying star in W Aquilae has been shaped by interactions with a sunlike companion star, brighter arcs around the stars. The arcs are shown in purple-pink and get brighter and denser towards the centre of the image. Both stars are located in the bright yellow central region of this image and cannot be distinguished.
