When you email issues to Obsidian Entertainment (the video game company) their AI support hallucinates and tells you to email Obsidian (the note-taking company) instead. If the reward function is to reduce the number of touches in a support ticket, this is one way to do it.

josh sawyer is on here and fairly active, have you tried contacting him directly?

For half what they’re paying my company will solve their support issues better (Gmail auto reply with the text “fuck off”, I’m open to new investments)

Fucking hell, I thought that was one of the non-nightmare devs. I guess I've learned yet again; never trust literally anyone not to fucking suck.

Just beautiful

The companies selling AI support "agents" have blog posts on this because it's such a common issue. It's trivial to check if it added an email. They're just shoveling this stuff out.

at that point you're practically compelled to reply unprofessionally to any support requests coming your way so they reviewbomb obsidian entertainment just make sure to add lots of legit obsidian entertainment links so you don't get blowback

That's genuinely just how bad most AI support is. I spend far too large a part of my work time telling the AI "no don't say that". I have to correct it from stupid things like telling someone to contact support in response to them contacting support to insideous like outright illegal info. It's bad.
