A graceful light brown mushroom with its thin stalk rising from a forest floor of dead needles and leaves and green moss. The cap is flat, about 2" diameter, and near the edges mostly transparent so you can see the gills underneath like ribs. At the base, the stalk has clearly torn through a small capsule of fabric-like tissue which remains.
