Saw this the other day. At first, I thought it a little too Ayn Rand, but it really developed into something much more than Rand's myopic social criticism: your brain will do whatever you tell it to do, so make the most of your life.
Coincidentally, I had started reading “If It Bleeds” when I learned that “The Life of Chuck” was made into a movie. Will definitely plan to see it! I recently finished reading “Fairy Tale”, which I absolutely loved, and hope that Hollywood is also interested in making it into a movie (hint hint).
My husband and I both read the short story and saw the movie yesterday when it opened in Boston…we were very moved…emotional and thought provoking…
BTW: We (here) were just discussing the creepiness of raccoons: smart,agile, super-strong, they have THUMBS, and they’re evil! Why haven’t you written the book? 😱

I just saw @markhamillofficial.bsky.social 's Sunday Today interview and I'm excited for "The Life of Chuck." At the end of the story, Willie also mentioned a movie of "The Long Walk" is coming out in the Fall. I'm so excited! I read that in the 80s and I've been waiting 40 years for this movie. 😊

I just saw the film adaptation at the Memorial Mall Cineplex Theater. 👍🏻 It was slightly better than a half filled 150 seat theater. It became a recovery & grief session prior to previews when random chats revealed there were a few people present, myself included, who lost a spouse to Glioblastoma.

Went and saw this with my wife last night - great movie. Was a really good conversation afterwards about life and reflections and memories as we get older. Your character development is magical, and really conjures up a lot of varying ways to view the human condition.

That's a lot of glasses. Do contacts not exist in Chuck's Life? Recently read it for the 2nd time, and I still don't understand most of it. Were the glasses a theme that I overlooked? Still excited to see it, though! Just like with any King work.

Just got out of the theater, went in completely blind off of the recommendation of Stephen King and Mark Hamil, and it was amazing. Going in blind is the only way I could see doing this. Definitely in my top 10 favorite movies.
I saw the film and I loved every minute of it. The dance scene is fantastic and the three Chucks are perfectly cast. They really seem to be the same person!! Looking forward to buy that one on dvd and rewatch as often as possible.
