Read the book 3 times and just saw the movie. The release is perfectly timed and the book was almost 50 years ahead of its time now that we see this is how the Republicans would like it to be. Scary shit.

Saw this today. Good flick, a bit different from the original that I read maybe 30 years ago?, but I thought it captured the spirit.

Speaking of books you wrote a long time ago, I am rereading The Dark Tower series as a treat for my 70th birthday. I just finished the forward from 2003. It could’ve been written today. Thank God that van didn’t kill you. This Constant Reader will read and reread every word until I can’t see anymore

Proving yet again that you can fool some of the people all of the time.
When they stick to the original story these movies tend to work out. It’s not the actors, it’s the story. Trust in the writer, he’s kinda good at what he does!

This is one of the last stories of yours I've been waiting to see adapted. I read it in the 90s as a teen and it's always stayed with me ever since. I think the big remaining story to be adapted now is The Talisman. Hopefully the wait isn't much longer. I'd be happy with a TV series too!

I remember reading this about a billion years ago.
I first read "The Long Walk" as a sophomore in high school. It was unforgettable, harrowing, and all-to-plausible. After that, I kept rechecking the library shelves..but that damn Richard Bachman was not prolific at all!
It’s so good. My god, instant classic, up there with Shawshank and Green Mile. Pure genius.

Read this novella ages ago when the 4-volume Bachman Books were first published as a single book. Let me say that I am NOT a King fan. I'm just not into reading horror or dystopia stuff. But this novella affected me, & I remember it well to this day, right up the terrifying logic of the conclusion.
You deserve an Oscar for this one. I was blown away. Very good work. As always. I was just by far impressed.

That is simply one of your most brutal works. Couldn’t put it down and dreaded every page.
Saw it yesterday - so good! First I thought the ending might go in a wrong direction, but then the final few seconds got it right and stuck really close to how I understand the final lines of the novel. What a sad, terrifying and wonderful ride.
No comment. I’m stuck with proclaimers in my head now.

While the film ending is more cinematic, I think the book ending is a bit more horrific.
I cried all the ugly tears during this movie, probably my favorite adaptation ever! 🙌🏼

I read that novella when I was about the same age you were when you wrote it. As a wannabe writer myself, I honestly found it kind of intimidating to know that you were writing stuff that was so good at such a young age. Intimidating, but also inspiring.

I just saw this movie and my god, was the story telling immaculate. We go to the movies to feel and this film was gut wrenching in the best way. I would expect nothing less from the Master. First time I’ve cried in 6 months. Thank you Stephen ❤️
I have this book on order and I cannot wait read it! Then, I’ll head to the theatre with my husband to watch it! He doesn’t like to read, but I drag him to see every film adaptation of the books I have read 😂 His favorite so far is IT!

The ending of this book was the worst ending of any book I have ever read.
This must be terrifying for most US citizens, they can't even walk from the end of a parking lot.
Very good movie. One of the most anxious experiences I've ever had in a theater that wasn't just nervously awaiting a jump-scare.

Read this story a couple of decades ago and really enjoyed it! Hope they didn’t fuck it up like they did with The Gunslinger—I was sooo pissed about that!
