Not sure if I can rely on the kings word anymore to be honest. Started on the “excellent“ Institute, only to find it was an medium budget acting class by a few real actors to a group of teens. Not impressed at all though I loved the book. Is this series different?

Just started watching this series and I'm blown away by how excellent it is. Absolutely unprepared for every episode being unsettling and disturbing.
This has been an absolutely outstanding series. Nail-bitingly uncomfortable - with great characters and multiple themes woven throughout. Bloody marvelous !

Ep 6 wasn't great. The subplot of the crazy nurse dressing up as a clown isn't fun.

I can still remember the cover of my sisters paperback of It (the paper boat and sewer grate, with a hand coming out). I read and re-read It, and watched the miniseries as a teen. Last night, watching ep 6, I was so scared by Pennywise that my toes actually curled up. Thx for the trauma Mr King 🤣
By the voice, I thought we were going to get Danny DeVito as the carnival barker. Either way this is cool.

Wow! The show touches on real life cruelty & tragedies. The Fictional horror is next level. While perfectly distracting from the real world horrors going on.
the last couple have been lights out incredible. My brother has read all of Stephen King's books and has been telling me some of the things in the books that we have not seen and what some things mean. It is a good resource to have when watching these.

I dunno man... maybe the money's dynamite, but the plot line is horrible; ESPECIALLY Episode 7. Who writes this shit? It's definitely not you anymore, old man. Sad. You're letting those of us who grew up w IT, Tommyknockers, The Jaunt, etc., down pretty hard. I expected more. We deserve better.
