That's fantastic! THE BODY is one of my favorite stories. @wilwheaton.net and his young co-stars were amazing in Rob Reiner's adaptation (STAND BY ME). Having Wil narrate the audiobook must feel surreal. “I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, did you?”
Could not be more in…Wil is a doll and has one of the best audiobook voices ever. His personal connection to the story will surely shine through ❤️

I love this! A few years ago I did a unit with 10th graders where we read your book then did some additional reading on the free range kids/kids on bikes trope. For the final project I had students develop a pitch for their own novels/tv series/movies. I modeled it for them then wrote the book!
Stand by Me is one of my absolute all time favorite movies.

No, thank you. I watch the movie about once every couple of months. I've seen it over 100 times. In fact, when I worked at Columbia Pictures, I worked on its N. Y. City area distribution. When I saw the movie weeks prior, it flipped me out completely. I read the story earlier and loved it.

Looking forward. I had the rare privilege of reading The Body for the first time when I was about the same age as the protagonists, which made it feel deeply personal. I still reread it and rewatch Stand by Me from time to time, something I rarely do with other media.
I had a teacher give me that book in junior high right after the movie came out. I read only that story and called it a day. So good! Thanks for doing this!!
