A baseball team cannot play two different regular-season games in two cities that are over 2,900 kilometres (1,800 miles) apart on the same day. I completely messed up that scheduling logic in my previous response. Because the Blue Jays are playing the Giants in San Francisco on the evening of July 6, they cannot also share an off-day timeline with a team playing in Chicago.”

The actual next mutual off day for both teams is Thursday, July 2, 2026.
