An Amstrad CPC I got handed down from my cousins. It was already mega old by the time I got it, but it was the first computer that was mine to do what I wanted with. Read the manual cover to cover and learn rudimentary programming by painstakingly copying from it.

It came in a box with what seemed like hundreds of little disks, spent weeks just trying out ones with labels that sounded neat and trying to work out how to launch them. I did not know anything like an ls command so it was just luck as to whether someone wrote the load command on the label.
