A long time ago, wayyyyy back in Oregon, they were burning fields up the valley from Eugene one afternoon, when the winds shifted south — blowing smoke into town that was so thick you could cut it with a knife. We called it Black Tuesday. Anyway, Canadian wildfires reached Manhattan this afternoon.
