Nightow wrote a confident, attractive, competent trans woman respectfully in the early 90s and these assholes turned her into a whiny child. just completely erased that she's a badass, and that she's trans, and that everyone in the story accepted her gender identity and pronouns after her needing to correct exactly ONE person ONCE. she deserved so much better than this bullshit she was so cool in the original. Context: In response to an author claiming books written over 50 years ago are irrelevant to modern readers. A quote from Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut, published 1969 (therefore over 50 years old).
