Kris harbors strong feelings for both Susie and Noelle. I've always leaned toward them having strong romantic feelings towards Noelle as hinted throughout the game and more of like a sibling like love for Susie. In my head it is less outright jealousy that Susie and Noelle are a couple and more the thought of "I love Noelle and don't deserve her, she deserves to be happy with Susie, but with them together it's no longer me and my best friend going on adventures every day" which I think is why Kris just hastily decided to make a fountain in the flower shop just as a last ditch effort to give them one last time together before the dynamics of their friend group change. In this way it sort of mirrors what Ralsei felt about Flowery in that Susie immediately takes a liking to him and this hurts Ralsei as it makes him feel like he's being replaced as a friend by Flowery, especially for someone like Ralsei whose self-worth is defined entirely by how helpful they can be to others when another guy comes along and just does everything you do "better". But back to the Kris thing this in particular was something that came to mind during the Mew Mew fight as I think there are parallels between her and Kris you can read during the fight and not just the literal ones about us being a soul who is possessing Kris' body just as the Mad Dummy ghost is possessing the Mew Mew doll. I am possibly reading into it too much but considering how puppets have been a theme with secret bosses I feel there's more to it and I feel like everything about Mew Mew's self hatred can be applied to Kris as well. Whether it's through guilt or whatever I don't think Kris feels they are worthy of being loved by anyone

"Tails Doll" Panel 1 - A human is sitting on their bed. Visibly irritated, the sight of a doll of Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog poking out from the underside of the bed catches their eye. Panel 2 - A first person view of the human holding the doll in their arms. Tails speaks. Though his smile as bright as it always was, his aged voice box produces a garbled effect, saying "EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY" Panel 3 - Whether it was the site of this old plush doll, his charming smile, what he said, how he said it, or some combination of it all, the human has a sad look on their face after picking up the doll. Panel 4 - The bedroom is now dark and the human is in bed with the Tails doll tucked in next to them. They are expressionless but seem at peace. Tails is smiling as he always does.
