Text from Brooklyn Community Board 2 recommendation: Recommendation to the Dept of Transportation and Council Member Hudson to complete the final block of the Ashland Place bike lane. The Committee previously reviewed the DOT’s 2022 plans for the bike lane on Ashland Place, as well as the 2023 revision. We believe the 2022 plan should be revisited in order to improve bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicular safety at the SE corner of Ashland and Lafayette and the block between Lafayette > Hanson Place which connects across Flatbush and Atlantic to 4th Avenue.
