I’m a democracy-loving American. I believe in the rule of law with every fiber of my being. I’m also a huge vintage European car nut so there’s that

“ Pogo” comic from Earth Day 1970 when Pogo and his friend are looking at all the garbage in the glen. Pogo’s friend says: “It *is* hard walking on this stuff”. Pogo famously says: “Yep son, we have met the enemy and he is us”. Certainly a different context today but just as apt.
