A 4.5 star review of the 2025 Superman movie. The review reads: Doesn’t 100% nail it, but at its core it understands its lead character, which is more than a lot of recent superhero movies can claim. Excellent representations of Lois, Jimmy, Mr. Terrific, and so many others in here as well! The writing still leans a little too heavily on the jokes for my liking, but there’s a heart to this story that sets it apart from what we’ve seen from Gunn’s work at Marvel. It certainly has me looking forward to whatever is next in DC’s cinematic lineup.
