so, with discord's voice having gone down a bit ago, I and a few others went on a fucking journey, first to fluxer (doesn't have voice activity threshold settings) then to stoat (kept disconnecting, has comfort noise you can't disable) and then eventually to a fucking Xbox Live Party before it fixed
