This is something that's in the top-5 of my bucket list. I LOVE Switzerland (IMHO the most beautiful country in Europe!), and their railway system is the best in the world.

Think I've been on that one, started in Italy, went through Switzerland, stopped for a while in a Swiss Town, and then returned to Italy. Was very beautiful and enjoyable trip.

These are Ferrovie Vigezzine,connecting Domodossola (Italy) to Locarno (Switzerland). Astonishingly beautiful all year but spectacular with the foliage in the Fall.Deserve for sure a try.
Aaah, the Centovalli, the "hundred valleys". Train journey is much less touristy than the Glacier express, but also very beautiful.
