So is driving on the left the natural rule of humans? Or is this the instinctiveness from being taught as a child to walk on the side of the road where you face traffic? Or is this learned instinct over centuries from ships (and now airplanes) always passing on the left?
Long shot, but has anyone studied this effect in the southern hemisphere to see if the Coriolis force is involved? I've personally noticed a preference for turning left, particularly when skating. Doing crossovers while turning ccw feels much more natural than cw, which feels very awkward.
