Microsoft's excuse? These workarounds "inadvertently skip critical setup screens" and cause config issues. Translation: They want to force you to connect to the internet and create a Microsoft account so they can collect your data and lock you into their ecosystem.
I don't understand the point of removing these workarounds as they are only used by power users or IT businesses. Your average user will use a MS account when prompted which is fine but let others use these workarounds. And all you need is to try domain join it and it won't ask for a MS account...
I found a way to upgrade from Win10 to Win11 on a PC that doesn't have Win11- compatible hardware. I downloaded the Win11 installation to a USB thumb drive.
Something else for the EU to ban since tech has to act like fucking assholes 24/7
