SHOSHIMIN: How to Become Ordinary (8.5/10) Mundane mysteries has always been something I really enjoy and I knew I would enjoy Yonezawa's work as a fan of Hyouka. What I didn't expect was how utterly distinct it would be as a focused character study of its two leads.

109. Days with My Stepsister (7.5/10) Cuts much of the fluff from the LNs and makes the entire thing a lot more tonally coherent. Some questionable pacing moments aside, this is a beautifully directed adaptation of a novel I didn't care too much for. Ueno is a director to watch.
