7. Robot Carnival (1987) A series of shorts showcasing animation. Largely without dialogue, but covering a wide range of genres and styles and stories. No framing narrative here, though the central themes of robots and the relationship humans have with their creations permeates the entire thing.

8. Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko II (1997) More style, more fanservice, the return of the stupidest character I have seen since Photon's cast of imbeciles. Not much to recommend it otherwise, unless you really love Akiyuki Shinbou's work.
