10. Macross Frontier: The False Songstress (2009) The stuff Macross is made of. Love, idols, war, music as magic. While Frontier TV is great, this movie (+its sequel) build on and remix that show to create what I genuinely think is a contender for the best thing Macross has ever produced.

11. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) A very impressive technical achievement, a goofy murder mystery, a machine that traumatizes children instantly. This movie contains multitudes (and also Bob Hoskins doing a deliberately awful slapstick routine). I didn't exactly love it, but the craft...!
