A poem by me, Renegades by Claire Arroway Earth desolate, red. We, the proteins, We, the chemistry binding, We, the genesis. Destined by primordial gears To ignite kindling to a flame. Earth grown, green. We, the soil fertile, We, the sprouting blades, We, the oxygenated blanket. Coating Pangea as life's tree Takes root and branches in full. Earth born, blue, We, the ocean-bound, We, the swimmers, We, the explorers. From the dark depths and Into sun-lit colonies we crawl. Earth forged, fire. We, the descendants, We, the ancestors’ chain, We, primates whose consciousness Emerges from the birth canal. Waking into Existence. Earth embattled, brimstone We, the conquerors We, the displacers We, the defectors, Forsaking our heritage as we Wage war against ourselves.

A poem written by me. It reads: Shattered by Claire Arroway Skull in a neutron star. Compressed, sucked inward, twisted, Expelled, pulled apart, obliterated. Its very atoms peel away and Spiral into a halo. You can see them, shards of illness Tumble in orbit, form anew. A Broken glass mosaic, A thousand scars make up you. Acid showers and Molten rivers. Your mood the currents. Stone eroded, Pathways chiseled. State of being torn asunder
