By that point, the tidal forces will become so large that Bob will no longer be with us. Bob will have been destroyed by the time he gets to the center of the black hole field. That is why we don't think about trying to answer the question: what does Bob see when he gets to, say, a negative r? By the time he gets to negabive r, he has experienced infinitely strong tidal forces and there is no more Bob.
