Yeah, like, so. A while back I had a moment on this blog where I talked a lot about my mental health. It was at a time when I was very much on an upswing, probably moreso than actually was healthy in retrospect. I thought I had finally beat depression, that I was gonna be on top of the world for the rest of my life, that everything was gonna be gravy because I had figured it all out. That did not happen. 2025 was basically a year-long major depressive episode for me. I didn't really realize it at the time, and the term does make it sound worse than it was, but I did not feel great basically all year. Which, you know, the Mariners were pretty good that year! That did not really help. I had another moment where I was way more on the upswing than was healthy a few weeks ago. Since I was more aware of the signs, I kept myself more in check than I did last time. I immediately made appointments with my medical care team. I channeled the energy into cleaning up and organizing a lot of the things I'd let slip in the last year. I'm feeling really, really good still, a couple weeks out from what was definitely an episode, because of all that.
