Comparison shots between the old version of AC4: Black Flag and the new version. You can see the new version look likes shit. It has more detailed models, but the moody lighting is homogenized in the way MCU film lighting is, losing the sense of place and tone. The details of the suit and scar are *way* less visible on the new model, and the eyes are lifeless.

Hi Mark, what justification from a design standpoint is there for multiple of the same hero in Marvel? Did we need 7 Iron Man’s? In the main set, no single character is on more than two legendary creature cards. One is lower rarity designed for limited, and one higher rarity designed for constructed. Commander decks can then have a different one designed for Commander. The Beginner Box can have one specifically designed for the needs of the product to teach players how to play (with characters they know). Jumpstart can have one designed specifically for Jumpstart. The seventh one is a reprint of a Secret Lair that we promised to give players access to in a booster pack. Each one has a very different function. Let’s compare it to one of our best known characters, Chandra. She currently has twenty-two different cards (two of them aren’t out yet, but are publicly known.)
