I think Christopher Nolan is an incredible director. I’m looking forward to seeing this movie. The book translated by Emily Wilson I’ve read.
Truly great films can be viewed on small TV screens and still retain their power.

The Odyssey is a tale of misogyny. Highly patriarchal and authoritarian. Telemachus tells his mother Penelope to "stick to the loom" not speak. Sexual double standards where male infidelities are excused, female chastity demanded, and raped enslaved maids are brutally hung. No thanks.
