Dear all, It is with a great deal of sadness that I have to let you know that Richard ‘Orclord’ Hale – founder of the Stuff of Legends website, passed away on the 1st July 2026. Over the past year, while we worked on 'The Stuff of Legends' book, Richard was also dealing with some serious health challenges, but he rarely complained and never lost his focus and passion for the miniatures. I know that many of you will have memories and reflections of Richard and his contribution to our hobby. I also hope that in time, ‘The Stuff of Legends’ will stand as testament to his lifelong enthusiasm for fantasy miniatures, which he generously and unselfishly shared with all of us. Away from the hobby, his family have also lost a husband and a father and so have asked for a period of quiet in which they can grieve their loss. Alongside all of you, I shall miss him.
