The USA is owned by the automakers and the oil companies, both of whom do not profit from high speed rail.
Except that’s an AI slop image and it’s whataboutism from Spain‘s transport minister to distract from other dysfunction. But the three hours it takes now is fine 😀
Unfortunately there are too many curves and not enough straight track to do this efficiently. We could have those trains but we couldn’t run them at those speeds. So unless they do major track work it’s going to be awhile I think before this happens.
