The Voice of Dog is seeking Ghost, Horror, or Otherwise Spooky stories for our Halloween Theme Month, the Ghost of Dog. Stories may be scary and unsettling, campy and gothic, or outright silly. Adult stories are accepted. Usual minimum standards for Voice of Dog submissions apply - No Bigotry, No AI - but for this month we consider the "End Looking Up" rule to be less important. Anything you could tell with a flashlight under your chin. We will be accepting AT MOST thirteen (13) episodes this year - ie. 13 one-part stories, 6 two part stories, or some combination thereof - and submissions will be open until September 1st 2026 or until all slots are full. The voice of dog is again looking for stories and poetry for Pride Month 2026. This coming June, in what has regularly been our largest broadcast event of the year, we want to again feature stories of Queer Joy and Resilience from a furry perspective. Think in terms of "what story do you wish you had had, when you first had to come out?" Stories should be under 10k words. Poems may be any verse form. As ever, usual Voice of Dog standards apply: stories should end hopefully, no praise of bigotry, and no generative AI. We want to feature as many different perspectives, from the LGBTQ+ community, as possible. Submissions will accepted until May 1st. There is no cap on the number of episodes for Pride Month. The Voice of Dog is looking for submissions for Poetry Month 2026. This coming April, we again will feature the work of furry poets, and those who'd like to become furry poets. Entries may be in any verse form, no minimum length. Voice of Dog standards, as ever, apply: ender 5k words, no bigotry, no generative AI, etc. Broadcast dates will be assigned once submissions closed. The maximum episodes we intend to produce is 13, as that's how many broadcast days are available this coming April. SUBMISSIONS WILL CLOSE WHEN AND IF WE REACH THIS MAXIMUM. Submissions are open until March 1st, 2026, or until the submission cap is reached, whichever comes first. Desired tone is anywhere from Twilight Zone to Campfire-with-a-flashlight-under-your-chin. We will be accepting at MOST 13 submissions this year, for each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in October.
