A mate on a cargo ship was arrested on Monday evening after sailing into a sailboat that was moored in the Port of Korsør. The officer had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit. The ship had also hit the harbor pier as well as three lampposts and a stone block. No one was injured in the collision, police said. The German couple who own the affected sailboat, however, had to jump from the boat when the collision occurred. The couple estimates that the damage to their boat amounts to over hundreds of thousands of euros.
