A large portion of this country has been de-souled. If tomorrow Musk were to just route all public funds to the bank accounts of this country's tech industrialists tens of millions of people would cheer it on as a final death blow to the deep state. For me there's only one realistic option when analyzing this behavior: These are people who have had their personhood deactivated. There's no there there. This isn't the whole "NPC" label that got popularized years ago. NPCs have more going on behind the eyes than these people. Its more like if one day you booted up Baldurs Gate and instead of acting aggressively bisexual (or whatever that game is about i donno) the NPCs were randomly glitching around the map and speaking gibberish lines never programmed into the game. Their essential selves have been terminally corrupted.
