Under Section 90 of the Police Act 1996 in the UK, it is a criminal offence for a member of the public to wear a police uniform or display official police insignia with intent to deceive or falsely suggest they are a police officer. Legal Rules for Civilians Intent to Deceive: Wearing authentic police logos, crests, or clothing to trick people is illegal and can lead to heavy fines or imprisonment.
