This author created a series where each MC had some sort of disability. In between the s*x scenes, I learned about the challenges of people living with conditions from vision loss to paraplegia. I read the entire series because of that window into other lives. They're not for everyone, but this one covered information I wasn't aware of and had never considered. Blank Canvas by E. M. Lindsay

This, to me, is a story of what the MC and ML need, not what others believe they should need. A bit of informal Dom/Sub seems to fit their personalities. The translation is a bit awkward at times, but not so much that it distracts. Chinese danmei authors have an odd fixation with kissing that leads to bitten, bleeding lips. I'd love some perspective on this.
