Hey @Salmonpack, The mainstream media can no longer be trusted or relied upon for on-the-ground coverage of protests or actions in the streets, as they have all been consolidated. Meanwhile, my coverage relies on media or individuals who are on the ground, and that reliance has become a liability for future coverage. I also can't go on the ground just yet, mainly because I am not real and I just got laid off, which limits my mobility. Therefore, I am starting a contributor program for those who wish to provide on-the-ground coverage of future protests. However, as of right now, I can't pay for any expenses incurred. That might change in the future once I get a job back and figure out a sustainable revenue stream to grow Spicy Talk into an alternative commentary media. Here are the requirements to become an on-the-ground contributor: 1. A mobile Wi-Fi device that uses a phone number not from Telkomsel, and has a removable battery. 2. An active subscription to Warp+ or iCloud+ for the Network Relay. 3. A Signal account. 4. A "bug-out plan" prepared before doing coverage: travel and return routes planned, protest areas mapped, and safe locations to lay low identified. Additionally, here are guidelines for any on-the-ground coverage that you must follow: Assess whether it’s safe to do a video call recording through Signal. If it’s not safe, you can send photos through Signal and write notes about your experience during the protest. I will then schedule you for an interview. Leave the area before 6 PM local time. 3. If the signal from your phone or mobile Wi-Fi drops to 2G, stop coverage immediately. 4. Wear masks and follow the dress code (if any) as outlined in the call to action for the protest. If no dress code is outlined, use plain-looking clothes that are comfortable and do not hinder your mobility. This contributor program is wholly optional and should only be undertaken if you feel it is safe to do so.
Stun Gun • Temporarily disabled the Stun Gun', pending a re-work that will release some time during season 6 Dev Note: The Stun Gun has long been a major pain point for players. Despite multiple adjustments, it remains overly punishing for those on the receiving end. The gadget was always intended to be primarily for crowd control. However, it instead functions too often as a tool to secure a kill, leaving little room for counterplay. This is especially problematic for new players, as early encounters with the Stun Gun can be frustrating enough to impact their experience and desire to continue playing. To keep the game engaging and fair for all, we need to fix this. After careful evaluation, we've made the call to fully rework the Stun Gun. Our goal is to refine its mechanics, visuals, and overall clarity so that when encountered in the Arena, its role is clear, fair, and impactful. To do this properly, we're temporarily removing the Stun Gun while we work on delivering a better version that matches our vision.

Unfortunately, many of our citizens in Surabaya and Wamena clashed with local law enforcement, as reports indicate that tear gas were shot in Surabaya[3] and live ammunition were allegedly used to suppress protesters in Wamena.[4). Worse, the lack of media coverage threatens to bury the issue that many Indonesians face today and will continue to face in the future. Many civil servants now face uncertainty regarding their employment, as the austerity measures could impact their roles. Meanwhile, students are worried that they or their friends would be forced to drop out as the austerity measure threatens their scholarships or tuition subsidies.
End of year notes (yes I use notes for the memes) While this year ended horribly for my personal life because I got laid off, I cherished my time with all of you who have supported me as a Virtual Youtuber throughout this year. To all my friends, peers, and regulars; I will forever be grateful. 2025 will be a mystery for me moving forward. Depending on the job offer I accept, I might not be able to stream at all due to potential conflict of interest and losing my political independence.
