4. BE ACTIVE IN THE DISCORD SERVER Make it easier for people to remember you by participating in discussions online. There are hundreds of people already there. It's pretty easy to find. Open up the Rust Forge website and there's a button right there. Look for the word "Discord".

5. PRE-WRITE YOUR WRITE UP Writing about an event afterwards sucks. Why not start writing an outline now with references when you're excited? It will give you an excuse to read through the actual talk abstracts.
