The time is now, the stage is set, total demolition of the species is looming, now is not the time to let them get our voices too. Our voice, your voice, my voice. My ma used to say I was ashamed of our Colombian heritage, truth is, I just don't know shit about it. What I know is that my family likes to dance and my family likes to fight and my family likes to laugh - I think these things are in our blood. The shit that's going on in the U.S. makes my head explode, but I realize I'm in the safe pile - the person who can smoke weed and walk down the street and know I'm gonna be OK - the person who can express anger loudly in public and come out of it safely - I don't have a solution, I have a prayer. I've always felt like music is a reflection of the times, a streak of fire in the sky. So much beauty lies in the abstract of instrumental music, but being this ain't a particularly beautiful time, l've chosen a more literal path - the voice is good for that. Again, I don't have a solution, I have a prayer, I don't even believe in god so it's more of a practical prayer: Listen to each other Love each other Take care of each other.
