Salem's Lot was the first Stephen King novel that I ever read. Afterwards I was hooked. When I picked the book up at a grocery store, because of the cover that it had at the time, and because of the title, I thought it was a book about witches. 馃き

"Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" (The original starring Kim Darby and Jim Hutton from 1973. It was a ABC Movie of the Week.) Scared the living daylights out of me. Creepy little men living in a fireplace. Brrrrr.
