Hey @entobird.bsky.social do you know if there’s any relationship between lanternflies and porcelain berry? Been noticing that both the nymphs and adults tend to hang around them almost exclusively!

Oh absolutely, lanternflies are a huge pest on grape, most anything in the Vitaceae family get ravaged by them. The larvae in your picture are likely suckin up all the phoem juices of the vines.
Lanternflies prefer vines and younger trees, I bought a honeysuckle vine in the hopes that they'll attack that instead of the rest of my food plants
