When it comes to talking about disability, I often worry I don't have anything helpful to share. But one thing that feels meaningful is talking openly about the assistive aids I rely on. These ring splints prevent my fingers from hyperextending. They have a Rivendell-meets-future-punk vibe I love.

Ring splints like these are very expensive. I was able to get them covered with insurance — but otherwise they would have been way too cost-prohibitive for me personally. I can provide more information on how I was able to get them covered, or some alternative options, if anyone needs it.
