Azdov city world with more than 1 trillion azdoves and hundreds of billions of other furries.
Chesmo, the Azdov homeworld. It has basically no axial tilt and is mostly covered in desert. It has two polar “superlakes” which are lined with bands of greener areas. Ice in exists in very small regions in very thin layers at the very most polar region. Meanwhile the brackish superlakes have projections that can reach to the equator where they empty into boiling hot salt basins. Some rivers go into the sueprlakes, some go out. Chesmo defies hydrology. The planet has a red-orange k-type star. It orbits fairly close to it, but it is not tidally locked. The planet has no moon, and a weak ozone layer. 4.3 billion azdoves live on Chesmo, which is much lower than most azdov planets. This is most due to high emigration to other worlds and efforts to keep preserve Chesmo’s character. For comparison, Chesmo had 13 billion azdoves before azdoves started colonizing other worlds, and the most populous azdov planet is the city world New Chesmo with more than 1 trillion azdoves.
The Azdov, plural azdoves, is a furry bipedal being. The Azdov is stocky in build, has short coarse fur over their entire body, all of which is one color apart from stripes on their ears and a tuft at the end of their tail which is a second color. Their ears are shaped like shark fins covered in fur and receive sound waves on their surface rather than having an ear canal. The Azdov mouth is toothless apart from molars in the back as they use oral acid to digest food in the mouth. The vestigial molars are protected by mucus. They have two fur covered bony prongs on their top lip and one fur covered bony prong on the bottom lip which is covered by an overbite so only the top two prongs are visible when the mouth is closed. Most adult azdoves are male or female but a small number of them are both. Azdoves produce smoke from their nostrils when they digest food in their mouth.
