Part three. The class enemy will be violent whether our side uses violence or not. Therefore, the revolution that refuses to use violence to defend its gains is the revolution that’s dead before it ever gets off the ground.

Part two. Revolutionaries don’t choose violence; violence is thrust upon them, and they either fight or lose everything. It’s not a question of choosing between violent revolution or peaceful revolution, because the choice isn’t ours to make.

Part one. Revolution isn’t violent because of revolutionaries; it’s violent because the old ruling classes don’t give up their power, property, wealth, and privilege a fight.
