When I was a kid, my brother and I had a video game, a fighting game. He always played a shrimpy karate guy and I played the beefy green toxic guy. My strategy was to move forward and punch a lot. I won fifteen games in a row, and then my little brother figured out the karate guy’s special move, a flying spinning kick. I never won again, not with anyone. Qcode is doing that flying spinning kick. Seeing it in real life it looks more obviously inhuman, and I think it’s unfair not to indicate that kind of power in the character design.

I had previously spent a couple afternoons vibe-coding websites (www.arxivslurper.com and www.robotalert.xyz) to search the arXiv. It was amazing (though a little demoralizing) to see OpenClaw instantly automate all of the same browsing and analysis work required. The papers it selects are so-so, but with further instruction I imagine it could get a lot better. This kind of web searching and monitoring is certainly helpful, and I imagine I’ll use OpenClaw for this a lot.
