A u-shaped kitchen with white cabinets. An apron sink is centered in the counter in the U, blue-green tiles in varying shades line the walls and surround the window above the sink. Two embroidered tea towels have been installed as cafe style curtains over the lower two-thirds of the window. They are softly lit by led lights underneath the cabinets. A faux red oak floor has been installed. It is all briefly clean and uncluttered as I had to clear the counters to do the lights.

A small black void kitten is perched on a persons head looking out across some out of frame expanse. They are framed by a blue sky although the light clouds behind them starts to make it appear as they have their own glow. The person is incidental to the photo, their face cut off at the nose at the bottom of the frame. They are trying but can never see the top of their own head.
A garage workbench constructed out of kitchen cabinets before this weekend’s “carpentry” (but after I cleaned the pile of wood scrap and detritus off it). It is mostly cleaned off although to the right there is still a random assortment of tools and stuff. This is the work area that came with the house almost 4 years ago.
A bright yellow ham, cheese, bacon and pepper omelette with a sprinkling of diced yellow pepper and ham on top it with a toasted English muffin on a white plate and countertop. I just think it came out particularly pretty instead of being forced to give up and turn them into scrambled eggs… (even better I managed to time the toast so that was ready just as the omelette was!)

Did I mention it was freshly painted?

A white kitchen in mid-remodel. There’s no backsplash, or actual flooring, a section of drywall still needs to be repaired and the cabinet trim is only 95% done but: by god there is now a countertop!

In the corner a couple of ladders are stacked and a shop vac is left in the center of the room. Please clap. This room won’t have water for another month…

The upper cabinets are missing exposing one wall that’s just 1/2 inch plywood with a shitty soffit built above it, another is covered in half destroyed lathe and plaster with strips of masonite screwed over the top of it. The last wall seems relatively intact. In short the photographic epitome of second thoughts…

11 savory kalobsnek (savory kolache) fresh from the oven. They are in tact with just a couple pressure spills where hot cheese forced its way out. I realize they’re just fancy pigs in a blanket but I don’t care.
