1080p (first pic) vs 4k (second pic) on a 1080p display shows how absolutely insanely bad YouTube's bitrate has gotten. Same exact frame. You cannot even begin to compare this

This seems to be particularly bad with videos that were uploaded in a higher resolution than they are being watched at
To be clear; Bluesky's compression isn't changing the results at all. I can hardly tell a difference to the original pictures side by side, the left pic really just looks that brutally bad
