Hello, I'm Topin I don't know how people work. Nothing is hard, just tedious.

"No, see that's what I think is a misnomer. When people say they need something about a person to be a constant, what they mean is they need that person to always be able to bring them to a constant state of feeling." "I agree!" "If you keep someone in your life because they're consistent in being a certain quality in your life, it means they always bring about a certain feeling within you. Comfort, validation, stimulation, etc. But people are always fluctuating in how they take in feelings and a person being a certain way all the time is never going to be effective ad infinitum. They likewise need to fluctuate in how they convey that feeling onto you." "Okay, but there is a consistency there because it's that feeling they give to the other person that's the constant, like you said. Just because it's not done in the same way every time doesn't mean the result can't be the same." "I agree!" "But that's just it though. Having the result be the constant brings about an expectation of the person providing it. And because of the aforementioned fluctuating of people, it can never be consistent in how it's conveyed because there's always going to be that element of uncertainty if that result will even occur."
