My other pro re:Invent tip is to spend all year racking up air miles, and spend them on an Upper Class flight to the conference. Cheers from the Heathrow lounge. (With apologies to the colleagues who are joining me this time who *haven’t* taken this approach)

Also put all your AWS and other business costs on a credit card that fixes you airline points.

The other trick I've seen to do that is to put a hefty enough cloud bill onto a points bearing credit card. But it's usually only one person (CEO or CTO) who gets to play that game.
