DARVO is a tactic used by a perpetrator to avoid accountability for their actions. As the acronym suggests, DARVO commonly involves these steps: 1. The perpetrator denies the harm or abuse ever took place. 2. When confronted with evidence, the perpetrator then attacks the person that they had harmed, or are still harming. The attacker may also attack the victim's family or friends. 3. Finally, the perpetrator claims that they were or are actually the victim in the situation, thus reversing the positions of victim and offender. It often involves not just playing the victim but also victim blaming.

So, first off, I've been working on a story since I was about 12 or 13 years old. I learned the word “Tragedy” in English class while we were reading Shakespeare, and felt it really perfectly described my story, so I temporarily titled the story “Tragedy of Kyo Ricci”, after one of the two main characters. I've since come up with several more stories, all in this same world I've built, all fitting the same kind of 'tragedy' theme, and since people who have been following me for what feels like a million years know me mainly by my stories name (my username had been changed pretty frequently) it only makes sense to continue that association. I also had been wanting to make my own website for quite some time to keep all of my stories and art in one singular place (I've had to change platforms too many times now due to social media shitting itself). Since this website would be linking together all my art, which was themed around Tragedy, and it's also a website that you can create a hyperlink to access, I thought the word “link” and its many meanings would fit nicely. Oh, and Tragedy.com was taken. So Tragedylink was born!
